The Skin and Laser Center at Marietta Plastic Surgery, outside of Atlanta, offers a variety of treatments, including BOTOX® injections, RESTYLANE® dermal filler, and laser skin resurfacing, to combat the signs of aging. Gail Day – Licensed Skin Care Specialist
Gail is a 2004 graduate of the International School of Skin and Nail Care and has completed advanced medical education classes. Among the certifications she has obtained are OSHA, CPR, Obagi prescription skincare, Skinceuticals skincare and lymphatic drainage. Gail believes in customer service and wants her patients to feel welcome and comfortable and that continued education is of utmost importance. She advises and educates her patients on their best skincare options, and enjoys following her patients individual progress. On her off time, Gail enjoys spending time with her husband and family plus reading and napping, of course! Gail is always available for guidance and advice! Laser Skin Resurfacing
Laser skin resurfacing is the most dramatic procedure that we offer to Atlanta-area patients at our Skin and Laser Center, and requires patients to undergo anesthesia and to miss some work. This procedure effectively treats fine lines, wrinkles, hyper-pigmentation, pre-cancerous lesions, thickening of the skin, and localized skin growths. It also reduces the appearance of deep wrinkles, and can be an effective alternative to the more dramatic facelift procedure, though results will vary. By repeatedly passing a laser over the skin, surgeons remove layers of unhealthy, damaged skin, and restore skin to a smooth, youthful appearance.
Often, the laser skin resurfacing treatment is performed in conjunction with face-lift, blepharoplasty or other facial rejuvenation procedures. Combined, these procedures can eliminate both structural problems, like sagging, as well as more superficial defects, like fine lines, dark spots, or skin-thickening.

BOTOX® Cosmetic
The Skin and Laser Center also offers BOTOX® Cosmetic injections to decrease the appearance of lines, wrinkles, and deeper furrows in the skin. BOTOX® Cosmetic smoothes and even eliminates crow's feet, creases in the neck, and wrinkles in the forehead or around the mouth. Injections deliver small doses of a therapeutic neurotoxin to the problem area. This chemical works to relax the muscles that tend to deepen wrinkles. The wrinkle reducing affects of BOTOX® Cosmetic can last for months. However, if you are looking for a more permanent solution to deeper wrinkles, we recommend our facelift, blepharoplasty, or brow lift procedures.

RESTYLANE®
For some, BOTOX® Cosmetic may not be the most effective option for severe wrinkles. Sometimes too much of the skin's support structure, also known as collagen, has deteriorated due to aging. If this is the case for you, RESTYLANE® can fill deep lines and furrows. RESTYLANE® is also effective in filling lines and creases around the mouth.
Unlike some dermal fillers, which are made from animal sources, RESTYLANE® is made from a stabilized acid found in the human body. For nearly all patients, this means no allergic reactions and no need for testing prior to treatment. RESTYLANE® is long lasting because it bonds with water in skin tissue and dissipates more slowly than other fillers.
