Excess skin in the inner thigh is generally the result of weight loss, and this skin can be especially abundant following major weight loss. The skin may become irritated and even infected as the thighs rub together during normal daily activities such as walking, running, or exercising. A neck lift can eliminate excess skin below the jaw line to rejuvenate the contours of the neck and jaw. The procedure is generally performed in conjunction with a face lift, but it can also be performed alone. Incisions will be made around the ears and under the chin, so that scars are inconspicuous. Extra skin and fat are removed before the skin is tightened and reattached.
